The 2013 Annual Festival of Art will be held March 16 thru March 19, at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center, 80 Belmont Avenue, Belfast. This year 155 Maine artists will show their work during the 4 day exhibit which opens with a public reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16. The featured artist for this year’s event is Rebecca Rivers, and her watercolor entitled “Free Falling Revisited” will be prominently displayed. A special reception will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17 for the RSU-20 students who are participating in their own exhibit as a part of the annual event. On Saturday, May 18, renowned artist and illustrator Alan Magee will give a presentation at 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium. The Festival of Art is free and open to the public, all are welcome. Regular viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
