Why should I have an account with the Maine Arts Commission?
The Maine Arts Commission’s website is the most successful method of outreach that the agency employs. On average, over 4,000 individuals visit MaineArts.com on a weekly basis in search of information; account holders are able to market themselves to these visitors.
A Maine Arts Commission account provides access to our online marketing tools within MaineArts.com, such as the events calendar, the press release section, the online directory, the opportunities section and much more.
Who can have an account?
All artists and cultural entities are invited to create an account.
Does it cost anything?
There is no charge to sign up for an account on MaineArts.com
Will I receive Spam when I sign up?
To control the amount of emails that account holders receive, we provide a selection of listservs that you can choose to receive once you have created your account. If you do not select these options, you should not receive emails from us.
How do I create an account?
Select the “Login to your account” icon that is found on every page of MaineArts.com. From the content manager log in area, select the "New User" link and fill out the form for new users. All fields with an asterisk must be completed to submit and create the account.
The next step presents new users with the opportunity to select listservs that they may wish to receive. You may skip this section.
If account creation is successful, you will reach the “Account Created Successfully” page that contains some simple account reminders and a link to your newly created account.
How do I access an existing account?
You can access your account by clicking the blue “LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT” button that is present on almost every page of MaineArts.com. Here you enter your username and password and click the “login” link.
What do I do if I forgot my user name and/or password?
Please do not create a new account. There are many ways that we can reconnect you to your existing account.
You are able to retrieve a forgotten password by clicking the “Forgot Password” link on the login page. This allows users to enter their username and receive their password via the email address associated with that account.
If you have forgotten both your username and password, or the previous account holder is no longer available, then you can contact the Maine Arts Commission at 207/287-2724 for your login credentials.
How do I update my account information?
To update your account information, including changing your username, password and listserv email subscriptions, log in to your existing MaineArts.com user account and select the "My Account" tab.
How do I delete an account?
Send an email requesting to delete your online user account to Becky Pushard at becky.pushard@maine.gov. Please provide your name, full name of the account, email and phone number associated with the account to be deleted.
