Theater Education Coordinator (Part-Time)

We are seeking a passionate and organized Theater Education Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an opportunity to develop programs that inspire a lifelong love of the performing arts in people of all ages. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about theater education, skilled in program coordination, and committed to fostering creativity and inclusivity within our community.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and run educational programs and workshops for youth and community members. 
  • Teach a minimum of 5 weekly classes
  • Collaborate with instructors, staff, and teaching artists to ensure high-quality programming. 
  • Create and maintain schedules for classes, workshops, and special events. 
  • Manage communication with parents, students, and participants, providing updates and addressing questions or concerns. 
  • Assist the Executive Director in program promotion, including drafting materials and working with the marketing team. 
  • Track attendance, program feedback, and participant engagement for reporting and evaluation purposes. 
  • Ensure that all programming aligns with the organization’s mission and values. 
  • Ensure adherence to RRCP policies: Interaction with Minors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience teaching, coordinating, or facilitating educational programs, particularly in theater or performing arts. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people. 
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Experience working with youth in an educational or artistic setting. 
  • Knowledge of theater production processes and techniques. 

 

Work Schedule:

This position requires 20 hours per week on a part-time basis. Half of these hours will be spent on onsite teaching, while the remaining time is devoted to planning and administration. The schedule offers flexibility, but must include availability from 4:00 to 6:00 PM for after-school sessions. Depending on program needs, evenings and weekends might also be necessary.
