2b Acting creates jobs for actors using Projectorgrams

Ten actors will become the first to create videos for 2b Acting’s – interactive video projections

Selective Interactive Video specialist, 2b Acting, has recruited ten actors to create Comedy Monologue videos for the 20th April event at the Royal Park venue in Leeds.

Projectorgrams, according to 2b Acting, are the forerunner to the use of holograms for live entertainment. Projected videos are controlled via an online App and the two have been weaved into a routine for live audiences. This new form of entertainment opens a market for creatives and demonstrates the strength of art in being able to contribute to the UK’s economic growth.

The Yorkshire based company said that creating new platforms for creativity is a great way to uncover hidden talents and predicts hundreds of actors will benefit from the opportunity.
“According to Nesta the creative industry has the potential to create roughly one million new creative jobs by 2030. This idea is the cornerstone of the company’s mission and are just one example of how digital technology can support this trend.”, says David Jones, 2b Acting’s project coordinator.

The actors performing the Comedy Monologues are Adan Osbourne, David Allen, Dean Hull, Anastasia Ampatzoglou, Faye Mitchell, Mandy Newby, Liam Boland, Matthew Connell, Jane Kanani and Gareth Wilde.

The link between culture and tech is strong and growing, a clear indication that the creative industries can only continue to add to the UK’s creative economy.
