  • October 16, 2013

BIDDEFORD—Engine, located at 265 Main Street in Biddeford, announces a five-week Friday afterschool art program for 4-18 year olds to experience, make, and learn about art and thinking creatively. There will be three age groups that will run for two consecutive Fridays: Ages 4-7 October 18 & 25; Ages 8-13 November 1 & 8; and Ages 14-18 November 15 & 22. Each session will run from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Suggested $5 donation per session. Advance signup is appreciated for planning purposes.

Engine’s After School Art Clubs will focus on age appropriate art-making activities that incorporate recycled materials and will explore works by a variety of professional artists.

The clubs will be led by arts education majors Carrie Parent from the University of Southern Maine and Angela Cuddy from the University of New England. Engine aspires to provide positive and constructive activities for the area’s youth and presents an opportunity for working parents to provide creative after-school activities.

Visit Engine’s website at www.feedtheengine.org/after-school for details and how to register for the program.
