Class dates: Nov 28, Dec 5, 12, 19
In this four-week course, students will learn how to make relief prints using linoleum blocks. In addition to making several prints, we’ll cover carving and image-making techniques, nontoxic printing materials, and some of the rich history of relief printmaking. We’ll spend two weeks on one-color prints and two weeks on multi-colored reduction relief prints culminating in a print portfolio exchange with everyone in the class. You’ll leave the course with a solid knowledge base on how to create an image, carve a block, set up a press, and make a successful print edition. This class is ideal for beginners and requires no prior knowledge of printmaking. Sign up here.
