South Thomaston Maine – Keag River Gallery presents an Exhibition of works by Aura Ever. “Transformations: My Cancer Cells, My Art, Creating a New Perspective and Life,” Opening Reception is Sunday, October 20, 2013, 1-5 pm.  The exhibition runs through November 30.

Aura Ever lives her life as a creative adventurer.

An eclectic artist, photographer, designer, singer, songwriter, intuitive, reiki and quantum energetic healing practitioner, she recently ventured into a path that required a complete transformation and all of her creative energy to save her own life.

September 22, 2010 was the monumental day when Aura’s path changed forever.  Diagnosed with Triple Positive Stage 2c/3a Invasive/Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer, she chose to have a double mastectomy. The surgery was followed by a year of weekly doses of biological chemotherapy.

For Aura, the healing process involved embracing pain, weakness, and the sudden vulnerability of the healing process. Aura learned to hone vulnerability into strength. Her transformation brought clarity, awareness, and freedom with a renewed sense of self love and personal power.

Aura was curious about what her cancer looked like. She wanted to view her cancer cells in the context of her own body. When she saw the broken pieces of herself under the microscope, she was immediately filled with a sense of compassion for the cells that she’d created but had somehow lost their way. The idea of ‘fighting’ the disease meant she’d just be fighting herself. Instead, she purposed to guide the cancer out of her body to restore balance. She chose to send love to her cancer cells. “Transformations: My Cancer Cells, My Art, Creating a New Perspective and Life,” features a dozen images, each representing a moment of inspiration on the journey to wellness.  Each image is beautifully mounted on a 10” x 12” ARTiPLAQ, and is also available in “5 x 7” greeting cards.  Aura includes an affirmation with each image that reflects her place on the healing path of transformation.

“Circles of cause and affect surround us all. The energy of light and love creates our thoughts and intent. We’re responsible for what we share, consciously or not. We affect even what we don’t see. This chain reaction is the matrix of life. You share life through love and make a positive difference heart to heart.”  Aura Ever

The positive transformations and new beginnings cancer evoked on her perspective happened because she loved and trusted herself, listened to Divine guidance and acted upon it to create the miracles she needed to heal.

A portion of proceeds from exhibition sales will be donated to The Maine Breast Cancer Coalition, a non-profit, grassroots, volunteer-based partnership of breast cancer survivors, health care professionals, representatives from cancer-related organizations and supporters all sharing a common vision to make a positive difference in the health of Maine people through financial support, advocacy for breast cancer research and education.  www.mainebreastcancer.org
