Maine Arts Commission Offers Arts Organizations Discounted Memberships, Resources, and Services with Maine Association of Nonprofits
AUGUSTA, MAINE--The Maine Arts Commission is announcing a new partnership with the Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP) to offer arts organizations a 50% discount on MANP membership. The membership grants access to resources, services, and tools aimed to strengthen and grow the capacity of arts organizations throughout the state.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with MANP to assist arts organizations in taking advantage of their many development programs, resources, and tools for assessing and improving the business of operating a nonprofit,” said David Greenham, Executive Director of the Maine Arts Commission. “I know first-hand that it’s challenging to operate a nonprofit. It’s much less difficult with the support of friends and colleagues. That’s what this partnership provides. Working together with your peers will help our organizations succeed and thrive as we navigate the ever-changing path of skillful nonprofit management.”
The membership allows all staff, board members, and/or volunteers access to MANP’s resources, services, and support to:
- Develop the board through governance trainings, board matching services, assessments, toolkits and handbooks, coaching sessions, and more.
- Build strategic and operational capacity through the Member Help Desk, pro bono legal and accounting support, and a grants database.
- Recruit, retain, and develop staff through extensive professional development trainings and opportunities, MANP’s popular Job Board, and more.
- Plan for leadership transitions with practical toolkits and trainings.
The discounted MANP memberships are available for arts aligned 501(c)(3) nonprofits with operating expenses under $1 million, as well as any BIPOC led arts nonprofit, regardless of size. Current and new arts aligned MANP members are eligible for the discount. The following discounts correspond with an arts organization’s operational costs.
