Maine Women in the Arts - Summer Art & Crafts Show

Maine Women in the Arts is having their annual Summer Art and Crafts Show at the Masonic Hall, Temple Street, in Kennebunkport, offering a variety of fine art and crafts for art lovers and buyers of handmade goods.

 

The show is open on Friday, July 25, 10 AM to 7 PM; Saturday, July 26, 10 AM to 6 PM; and Sunday, July 27, 10 AM to 4 PM. There will be a reception for the public to meet the artists on Friday, July 25, from 5 to 7 PM. Admission is free.

 

The MWA Summer Show will include works by more than 50 artists from northern New England. In addition to fine art and photography, MWA artists will be showing a variety of crafts including wooden carvings, pottery, jewelry, home décor, hand-painted cards and prints.

 

Maine Women in the Arts is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to promote art in Maine. MWA chairperson Pam Edwards says, "Maine Women in the Arts has welcomed many new members in the last year and invites the public to view fine art by some talented, fresh artists, along with work by many of our longtime members. Our summer exhibit has fine art of all sizes and crafts by local artists, perfect for gifts and souvenirs."
