One hundred years ago, Acadia National Park was conserved to protect its beauty and natural wonders for the enjoyment of all. The Maine Arts Commission is proud to announce a new Art in the Capitol exhibit celebrating this cultural gem of Maine.

The show is comprised of paintings and photographs by six artists who are sharing their vision of Acadia National Park. For this Art in the Capitol show, the agency is pleased to feature the works of Brad Betts, Tom Blagden, Mary Byrom, Gail Cleveland, Howie Motenko and Wini Smart.

The exhibit, located on the first and second floors of the Maine State House, is open to the public and free of charge. The show will run through March 31, 2016. Click here for more information.

The agency is also proud to be an Acadia Centennial Partner, of which this exhibit is a featured event. Acadia's official "birthday" is on July 8, 2016 and there will be other events happening throughout the year to keep the celebration going strong.
