The Blair Witch Project
Friday, 10/23, 6pm | Rated R
Three film students vanish after traveling into a Maryland forest to film a documentary on the local Blair Witch legend, leaving only their footage behind.

At a time when digital techniques can show us almost anything, The Blair Witch Project is a reminder that what really scares us is the stuff we can't see. The noise in the dark is almost always scarier than what makes the noise in the dark. -- Roger Ebert

From the visionary mind of Ari Aster comes a dread-soaked cinematic fairytale where a world of darkness unfolds in broad daylight.

"Midsommar" gets it right. This twisted daylit nightmare is a masterpiece of mood, all the more disturbing since it's set entirely underneath the bright, beating sun. Anyone can be scared of the dark. Ari Aster makes you scared of the light.
