Runity Players is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as its next Executive Director. The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative leader of RRCP, and is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operational, financial, and strategic functions of the organization. This position is highly collaborative, requiring partnership with the Board of Directors, show teams, committees, volunteers, staff, community members, and partners to ensure the continued success and growth of RRCP’s productions and programs.
About Royal River Community Players:
The Mission of the Royal River Community Players is to create multi-generational performing arts experiences for Yarmouth and surrounding area residents. These opportunities of education, culture, and creative expression are provided through theatrical productions for all agesand abilities. To accomplish this mission RRCP facilitates all age productions, classes and workshops, as well as summer and school break youth camps. In addition RRCP formed and oversees the Accessible Stages Collaborative. To encourage inclusivity, the David Ray Scholarship fund reduces financial barriers for programming and productions.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all day-to-day operational and financial management functions, including staffing, collaborating with show teams, committees, volunteers, community members, and staff to ensure successful productions and programs.

Negotiate and execute contracts (theatrical publishing, space rental etc.), manage bookkeeping, and provide regular updates to the Board.

Work closely with the Board to evaluate and implement the mission of RRCP; develop and execute strategic plans, define long-term goals and short-term objectives, and provide administrative leadership and support. Attend all Board meetings and respond to ad hoc Board requests.

Work closely with the Board’s Development Committee to createannual development, fundraising, and capital campaign programs with an emphasis on increasing donor and sponsorship support. Plan and implement fundraising strategies, secure sponsors, corporate partners, and solicit gifts. Research local and national grant opportunities annually and pursue grant funds in conjunction with the Development Committee’s goals for specific programming projects and mission campaigns.

Supervise RRCP employees, including hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to direct reports to boost performance as aligned with RRCP and staff position goals.

Oversee public relations, communications, education, and outreach functions. Represent RRCP at public events, through publicity, and in the development of informational and promotional materials. Develop and implement a comprehensive PR and communications strategy.

Oversee the maintenance of facilities and equipment, ensuring the safety and security of all participants, volunteers, and property.

Build and maintain positive relationships with civic leaders, public officials, community groups, businesses, partners, and other non-profit organizations.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Board.
Qualifications:

Passion for community engagement and the performing arts.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in nonprofit, arts, cultural, or related organizations.

Demonstrated financial management skills, including organizational budgeting, contract negotiation, cash flow management, etc.

Successful track record in fundraising, donor relations, and development, including annual campaigns and sponsorships.

Demonstrated grant writing skills, including researching and identifying appropriate arts industry grants, writing grant applications and submitting grants within the specified timeline.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public relations, marketing, and community outreach.

Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including board members, civic leaders, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
