WERU-FM (89.9 FM in Blue Hill, 99.9 FM in Bangor and streaming online at www.weru.org) is 25 years old! As part of the year long celebration of the non-profit Community Radio station's first quarter century on the air, there will be a celebration concert “25 Years – And Counting!” at The Grand in Ellsworth on October 6, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.

The concert will feature some of Maine's best known performers including Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary; singer-songwriter David Mallett; Maine Humorist Tim Sample; and folk musicians Bill Schubeck, Heidi Daub, and Phil Norris. With the exception of David Mallett, all of the performers at the 25^th anniversary celebration concert played live on the WERU airwaves during the station's first day on the air. This event is a benefit to support WERU-FM.
