19th Annual Salad Days Picnic Fundraiser

The 19th annual Salad Days will take place at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts on Saturday, July 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Attending Salad Days in a great opportunity to select one of 500 individually crafted, unique salad plates by artist Tess Stilwell to fill to the brim with a bountiful lunch. Salad Days' success as a fundraiser relies on a huge amount of support, in the form of donations, from local businesses. Each year, the Salad Days fundraising event draws up to 500 visitors from near and far to enjoy an afternoon of delicious local food, great company, incredible ceramics, kid’s art projects, and lively music by musical talent The Jerks of Grass.
Coinciding with Salad Days is Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts Annual Invitational Pottery Sale. Admission to Salad Days is not required for those only interested in shopping at the sale. The Invitational Pottery Sale features work by top ceramic artists from Maine, New England and across the country. A full list of participants is available on Watershed's website.
In addition to Salad Days and the Invitational Pottery Sale, Watershed is pleased to have Jane Prentiss, generalist appraiser and auctioneer from Skinner Auction House, on-site that same day to appraise art and antiques. Admission to the Pottery Sale only is FREE.
Admission to Appraisals for Consignment with Skinner Auction House by reservation only.
The Watershed campus opens at 10:00 a.m., plate selection starts at 11:00 a.m. and the lunch buffet will begin at 11:30 a.m. The pottery sale, live music, kid’s activities, raffle, and open artists' studios continue until 3:00 p.m. Appraisals for Consignment with Skinner Auction House will continue until 4:00 p.m.
Funds earned during Salad Days support Watershed's community outreach programs, including the Mudmobile, a clay studio on wheels bringing clay art workshops to schools and community centers throughout the state.
