Join us for April First Friday!

Stop by The Joan Dignam Schmaltz Gallery of Art at the Paul J. Schupf Art Center at 5:30 p.m. for a free, public curator led walk-through of Square + Triangle: Home at the Colby Museum's Collection, closing on April 21, 2025.

Head upstairs to the Maine Film Center at 7:00 p.m. for a special free screening of the beloved Pixar animated film, Up (2009, 1h35m). Offered through Frame by Frame, a collaborative series organized by the Colby College Museum of Art and the Maine Film Center, lights will remain partially dimmed to accommodate an optional art-making activity.

Free snacks and refreshments will be served in the lobby from 5:00– 7:00 p.m.

First Fridays celebrate the vibrant creativity of Waterville by inviting people downtown to engage in multidisciplinary arts experiences. On the first Friday of every month, visit downtown Waterville to meet artists, participate in various workshops, listen to live music, eat delicious local food, and come together as a community.
