Every first and third Thursday of the month, slow down and examine a single work of art for 30 screen-free minutes guided by museum staff, community members, and visiting artists.

For this Art Break, Linde Family Foundation Curator of Academic Engagement Dr. Jessamine Batario will facilitate a conversation around Ribbon Wars by Sarah Sudhoff, featured in the exhibition Imagining an Archipelago: Art from Cuba, Guam, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Their Diasporas.

Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking—an educational approach that invites you to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art to discover personal connections and meaning. Join us in the Colby College Museum of Art galleries throughout the academic year.
