Bagaduce Music will present a concert featuring the acoustic music supergroup Mr. Sun at the Clifford Arts & Student Center in Unity, Maine on Thursday, June 26. The ensemble includes renowned fiddler Darol Anger, guitarist Grant Gordy, Scottish bassist Aidan O’Donnell, and mandolinist Joe K. Walsh.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a free Bluegrass Jam led by Bennett Konesni, and purchase a special ticket for a Meet + Greet with Mr. Sun, who are widely regarded as legends in bluegrass fusion music. The event will take place at the Clifford Arts & Student Center (formerly Unity Center for the Arts), a venue known for its excellent acoustics.

Mr. Sun is comprised of four accomplished musicians in the American roots scene. Fiddler Darol Anger, a Professor Emeritus at Berklee College of Music, has released numerous solo albums, collaborated with David Grisman and Mike Marshall, and founded musical ensembles such as the Turtle Island Quartet, Psychograss, and Republic of Strings. Mandolinist and vocalist Joe K. Walsh previously spent four years with the award-winning bluegrass group the Gibson Brothers before launching his solo career and becoming a Strings Department Professor at Berklee. Guitarist Grant Gordy, recognized for his versatility, was formerly a member of Dawg Music pioneer David Grisman’s band. Scottish bassist Aidan O’Donnell has provided accompaniment for harpist Maeve Gilchrist and numerous modern jazz musicians.

The event will feature a variety of opportunities for engagement throughout the evening:

• 6:15-7:15pm – Doors open, Bluegrass jam with Bennett Konesni (bring your instruments!)

• 6:30-7pm – Meet & Greet and refreshments with Mr. Sun (requiring a separate ticket)

• 7:30 p.m. – Concert featuring Mr. Sun

The performance will take place at the Clifford Arts Center, located at 42 Depot Street, Unity, ME 04988.
