The Union of Maine Visual Artists (UMVA) proudly presents "Dreaming at Dawn," an exhibition of 68 dreamy, imaginative and contemplative artworks in a wide range of mediums by 51 of our member artists. Our largest show of 2026, "Dreaming at Dawn" will be on display in three galleries at the Bangor Public Library from August 1 to September 30. The library will also host a Meet the Artists Reception on Thursday, August 6, at 5-7 p.m.

Viewers will see sunrises over Maine's mountains and waters, as well as mysterious nocturnal visions, animal visitations, and abstract works that capture the feelings of early light and half-remembered dreams.
