Join Luke Johnson, visiting assistant professor of art, for facilitated close looking exercises, discussions, and drawing prompts in response to the exhibition Is anything the matter? Drawings by Laylah Ali. Inspired by Ali's working process, participants will generate texts, figure drawings, and personal interpretations of Ali's figures which embody ideas of absurdity, identity, and disguise.
