Beautiful Birds

Venus is associated with beauty and harmony. Because of its location in the transition zone between the northern boreal and the eastern deciduous forests, Mount Desert Island is home to some of the most colorful birds, like the Kestrel and the Red-eyed Vireo. For this group exhibition, I've selected several watercolor bird paintings that showcase the beauty and harmony in the Island's bird world.

"Women Are From Venus" is a group art exhibiton of local female artists. Sales from the exhibition benefit Next Step, a life saving organiztion in Ellsworth where women and their families can go in crisis.
