Portland’s famous Drag Brunch at Chaval returns for Halloween with four New England queens, immersive décor, themed brunch and party favors.

Portland, your favorite brunch is about to get haunted.

The famous Drag Brunch at Chaval is back, and this time the entire restaurant is joining the show. On Sunday, October 18, Chaval’s West End dining room will transform into an immersive Halloween brunch filled with spectacular New England drag, theatrical décor, costumed hospitality, surprise party favors, and a seasonal menu created especially for the occasion.

This is more than a drag show added to brunch. The room, the food, the service, and the audience all become part of the experience. Expect glamour, comedy, movement, conversation, and spontaneous moments with Famine the Supermodel, Mama Martini, Asia Deluxxe, and Chartreuse Money. All four queens will share hosting duties, perform, and engage with the room throughout the experience.

Halloween may arrive at the end of October, but the celebration begins at Chaval.

This event has two separate seatings. Your ticket provides admission to one seating only.

First Seating

Arrival: 10:00 AM

Expected conclusion: Approximately 12:00 PM

Second Seating

Arrival: 1:30 PM

Expected conclusion: Approximately 3:30 PM

Famine the Supermodel

Maine-rooted and Chicago-seasoned, Famine the Supermodel returns to New England with a fashion-driven point of view, commanding stage presence and a talent for creating unforgettable visual moments. A performer and seamstress, Famine brings the polish of years spent in Chicago together with the thrill of a Maine homecoming.

Mama Martini

Mama Martini is Portland drag royalty with the warmth, glamour, and performance instincts of a queen who knows how to hold a room. Crowned Miss UMaine in 2018 and shaped by an extensive competitive dance background, Mama brings movement, heart, humor and unmistakable local star power to the Chaval floor.

Asia Deluxxe

Representing the New Hampshire and Boston drag scene, Asia Deluxxe brings a striking visual imagination and fresh New England energy to Chaval. Expect transformation, drama, and the delicious element of surprise that belongs at a Halloween table.

Chartreuse Money

Chartreuse Money is a full-time entertainer, producer, and choreographer with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. Named the 2026 Pride Portland Grand Marshal and voted Portland’s Best Drag Personality in 2023, 2024 and 2026, Chartreuse brings charisma, comedy, dance and the rare ability to make an entire room feel part of the performance.

Together, these four queens will turn brunch into a living Halloween spectacle.

A Brunch Worth Dressing Up For

The kitchen is not standing backstage.

Chaval’s Spanish and French-inspired cooking will take on a seasonal Halloween personality with several specially themed brunch selections. Guests will choose and purchase their food from the event menu.

The kitchen is led by Chef Damian Sansonetti, recently voted Portland’s Best Chef in the 2026 Best of Portland Awards and recognized as a 2022 James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Northeast.

Pastries and desserts are guided by Chaval co-owner Ilma Lopez, a two-time James Beard Award semifinalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef.

The result is a rare Portland experience where celebrated New England drag and nationally recognized culinary talent meet at the same table.

Food, cocktails, mocktails, tax, and gratuity are purchased separately and are not included with admission.

Costumes, dramatic brunch looks, spooky glamour,, and creative Halloween style are enthusiastically encouraged, but never required.

Come dressed for the occasion or simply come ready to enjoy it. Chaval’s team will be in costume, the dining room will be transformed, and every guest will be welcomed into the celebration.

Performer Tips

Guests are encouraged to bring cash to tip the performers.

Cash tipping will be available throughout the show. QR codes for each queen’s Venmo account will also be available for guests who prefer to tip digitally.
