Experience the exhilarating art of glassblowing at Waterfall Arts Glassworks. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, our beginner classes are designed to guide you through every step of creating beautiful glass art.
Starting with the Basics:
Beginning Glassblowing 1 – Summer/Fall 2024
This 8-week course is perfect for those new to glassblowing. You'll learn to make basic forms such as paperweights, cups, vases, and bowls while exploring color techniques to add a personal touch to your creations.
No experience necessary.
Tuesday Evenings 6:30-8:30pm
Class dates: 8/20, 8/27, 9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8
Beginning Glassblowing 2 – Next Steps – Summer/Fall 2024
Build on the fundamentals learned in Glassblowing 1. This 8-week course focuses on refining skills, such as basic bubble setup and punties, and expanding your repertoire to include more complex vessel forms.
Prerequisite: Beginning 1 or equivalent experience.
Thursday Afternoons 3:00-5:00pm
Class dates: 8/22, 8/29, 9/5, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/11
Plus, New Stand-Alone Workshops and an Epic 'Melted Mosaics' Course:
Experiment with our new 4-hour workshops, perfect for trying out specific techniques, like creating detailed paperweights, implosion bowls, or refining your tweezing and shearing skills. And don’t miss the chance to dive deep into the world of glass art with our Melted Mosaics & Altered Surfaces course, taught by renowned glass artists Marty Kremer, David Jacobson, and Carmi Katsir. This intensive course covers everything from kiln forming and murrine work to advanced surface treatments.
