Maine Media Workshops Professional Certificate Exhibition

Maine Media Workshops + College is pleased to present an exhibition of work by this year’s graduates of the Professional Certificate Program, Abigail T. Fox, Niko Hample, Eric D. Newton, Nils Tcheyan, and Nina Poole. The exhibition will be on view at PhoPa Gallery May 31 through June 10, 2017, with the opening reception on June 2, 5-7pm.
This exhibition features work by the 2017 graduates of the Professional Certificate Program for Visual Storytelling at Maine Media Workshops + College. The Professional Certificate program at Maine Media Workshops + College is an interdisciplinary and immersive 30-week program in the art and craft of visual storytelling. Students aspiring to careers as artists and working professionals in the world of media arts become fluent in multiple forms of visual media in order to effectively tell a story – whether it is one of personal expression, documentary journalism, social advocacy, or fictional narrative. The Maine Media Workshops + College Professional Certificate program is designed to graduate visual storytellers with the skills, vision, experience, and knowledge needed to build a career in the evolving field of media arts. The work ranges from documentary work to color abstracts to lyrical black and white compositions.
