Organization Partnership (Large) - MAC/Farnsworth Art Museum Partnership

  • Date: August 18, 2021 - June 30, 2022
  • Location: Rockland, Maine, Rockland

The Farnsworth Art Museum will join with the Maine Arts Commission as an organizational partner to foster and promote the arts within Maine. The museum is open to the public 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except Tuesdays and also on Mondays in January, February and March. We feature exceptional exhibitions of artwork by artists who have lived and worked in Maine over the past 200 years, including many contemporary Maine artists who are creating masterpieces today. Our 15,000-object collection of paintings, works on paper, sculpture, photographs, prints, assemblages and much more reflect Maine's role in American art, as do our extensive learning and engagement programs, which include free school programs, free or low-cost public programming, many special events and free community activities, both onsite and online. The Farnsworth is open, and we invite you to come visit our beautiful 73 year-old museum on its 3.5 acre campus in the center of bustling downtown Rockland, currently enjoying accolades as the Art Capital of Maine. Come visit us - we hope to see you in our galleries soon!
