Seanachie Nights presents: Phyllis Blackstone’s Treasury of Tales

Storyteller and M.O.O.S.E. (Maine Organization of Storytelling Enthusiasts) member Phyllis Blackstone will regale you with stories of long-ago times, new times, or any time. Maine storyteller Phyllis Blackstone will share a potpourri of her favorite folktales and personal tales from her collection of stories of wisdom, truth, and laughter.  Whether she is telling a story of celestial pies or supermarket sleuthing, Phyllis’s sly wit sneaks up on the listener. She hopes to meet you in person.

Dr. Phyllis Blackstone became a storyteller in 1970 when teaching first graders and used storytelling as her favorite teaching tool when teaching elementary students, middle school students, university undergraduates and graduates.  Having retired from 43 years as an educator, Dr. Blackstone spends her time seeking and telling stories of wisdom, truth and humor, combining storytelling with musical interludes.  Her unique style and sense of humor create an entertaining program for children, adults and senior citizens.  For more information on custom-created programs, she can be reached at phyllis.blackstone@gmail.com or 207-860-6622 (leave a message).
