Bagaduce Music presents Time Travel to Tin Pan Alley, a unique docu-concert  from The Time Travel Trio, who deliver a new take on celebrated standards from the golden Jazz Age of the 1920s written by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and the Gershwins. The group features pianist and UMaine Jazz Studies Program professor Scott Cleveland, UMaine Jazz Studies program director Dan Barrett on trombone, and Ann Delaney, professional vocalist and amateur musicologist. The Time Travel Trio shares the music of the era and the stories behind the composers and the performers including Al Jolson, Fanny Brice, and Billy Rose.

The inspiration behind forming the Time Travel Trio was the recent availability of popular songs from the 1920s into the public domain, and the opportunity it presented to perform and share the history of the songs that formed the basis of what is informally known as The Great American Songbook. The sheet music used to prepare these concerts was borrowed from the Bagaduce Music library!

Join us Thursday, Feb 13 at Henry D. Moore Library, 22 Village Rd, Steuben. The special Valentine-Eve Concert begins at 6pm, doors will open at 5:30pm. For more details and for tickets visit bagaducemusic.org, contact Lydia at lydia@bagaducemusic.org, or call 207-374-5454.
