Poland Spring, Maine. This week, the Poland Spring Preservation Society will be hosting the Maine Highland Fiddlers on July 23rd at 6:30 PM. The Maine Highland Fiddlers are part of a traditional Celtic music revival that thrives throughout the North Atlantic rim. Along with fiddles, the group of seven musicians includes guitar, bodhran, and piano in their concerts. Their music recaptures the kitchen party atmosphere that is central to the Celtic tradition.

Poland Spring Preservation Society will host free concerts every Monday evening throughout the summer. Concerts will take place outside at the Gazebo at Poland Spring Resort. In case of rain, concerts will be held in the All Soul’s Chapel. All concerts are free and open to the public.

The Poland Spring Preservation Society is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that preserves, protects and manages the Poland Spring Museums along with extensive collections of art, artifacts and historical memorabilia The Museums include the All Souls Chapel and the Maine State Building, which also houses the Maine Golf Hall of Fame. Also located on the property is the original Poland Spring Bottling Plant and Source building. These buildings are owned by Nestle Waters of North America and managed by the Preservation Society.

The Society’s mission is to preserve the historic buildings and educate the public about Poland’s Spring’s unique place in history.  The Museums are open to the public May through October. For more information go http://www.polandspringmuseums.org

Make your Monday destination the Sunset Concert series at Poland Spring!  There is no admission fee and there is ample parking for all. Suggested donation is $5.  Water is provided and hot dogs will be for sale.
