In the 18 century, picturesque Wiscasset had a prolific ship-building industry, now long gone, along the shores of the Sheepscot River. But those remaining emblems of wealth – the well-preserved, handsome Federal-style homes – are why Wiscasset is known as “the prettiest village in Maine.”

 The 2024 tour will feature uniquely beautiful homes built by wealthy ship captains and other early entrepreneurial citizens, featuring today’s esthetics, exquisite collections, and abundant gardens. Come tour these historic structures for a view into early taste and comfort – and how we live now – in the lovely, historic Village of Wiscasset, Maine, 

Visit Wiscasset’s Homes on Tour on July 13 for history, splendor, and inspiration!  

Tickets are $30 each. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the tour, July 13, in Wiscasset Village. Ticket sales and pick-up (specific location TBD) on the pier from 10am to 3pm. Cash, checks, and plastic accepted.

Advance tickets can be purchased online in June 2024 and picked up on the day of the tour (specific location TBD). Visitors are encouraged to purchase in advance.
