About the Artist

The Nordica Trio (violin/viola, clarinet, and piano) brings together three outstanding musicians who have performed extensively througout the United States and internationally. The members of the Nordica Trio are Graybert Beacham, violin and viola; Karen Beacham, clarinet; Martin Perry piano. The Portland Press Herald calls them "exciting...Both the individual playing and the total ensemble were virtually flawless in every work, no matter how difficult. Better still, the musical character of each was shaped with taste and imagination." This group was originally formed in Farmington, Maine and takes its name from that city's most famous musician, the opera star Lillian Nordica. The ensemble performs chamber music written for trio and also varies their concerts with sonatas and solo works for their respective instruments. The Nordica Trio also offers educational concerts (lecture/demonstrations) and master classes for all age groups.
