About the Artist

Bodies of work:
All of my works are motivated by the search for meaning; on creating a portrait of the inner landscape; the quiet voice within.

They are a celebration of the Self; of intuition; of the personal guide inside us all, that speaks the universal truth always.

They are always sequential, and best viewed as an entire body of work. It is the process of unfolding, the exploration of wonderment, the tension between understanding and not understanding that motivates my work.

The series entitled ?illuminations? is the midway point between my external search for truth (representational), and my most recent body of work entitled ?Scroll Drawings?, which is stream of consciousness, psychological, narrative, from fantasy.

In ?Illuminations?, I am a creator of worlds. These tiny portraits are the worlds within myself that I see. I am creating portraits of the ancestors I see inside myself. Their diminutive scale highlights their preciousness, requires that we know them intimately.
It is our past that reveals our present.

With `Scroll Drawings?, each drawing is a microcosm of life. We live moment to moment and then the story ends.
