About the Artist

Wayne Hall is a rustic furniture artist , sculptor, and teacher. He recently moved to Orland, Maine from North Carolina, where he had been designing and making one-of-a-kind rustic furniture since 1992. His work has been included in both national and regional exhibitions and is carried by several galleries. Wayne earned an MFA from the University of Georgia and has taught sculpture and rustic furniture in North Carolina at NC State and Duke Universities. Currently he teaches rustic furniture at the University of Maine in Orono and the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport as well as community education courses and the Open Weekend Workshop at Haystack. Wayne has taught workshops at the college and high school levels and at arts and crafts and nature centers and is available year round.
