Waterville Opera House

About the Artist

The majestic Waterville Opera House was opened in 1902. The municipally owned 900-seat house was, and still is, the largest facility of its kind in Central Maine.

Today, with a skywalk linking the Waterville Opera House with The Center, programming and classes are accessible and well connected. Each year, more than 100 events are held at the Opera House, with an attendance of nearly 50,000.

Programs in the Artspace facilities include classes in music and movement for young children, theater camps for school-age children yoga for adults, as well as a wide range of theatrical and musical events in the intimate Studio Theatre.
