About the Artist

A community based local arts agency (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization), L/A Arts was established in 1973 with a mission to ?integrate the arts into the fabric of our community?s everyday life.? L/A Arts programs include: family shows geared towards people of all ages with a ticket price to fit a family budget, a cabaret series with both international and locally known artists, an international film series held in partnership with Central Maine Community College, a nationally acclaimed arts-in-education program and teacher development workshops, a popular summer theatre program for youths, a series of free summer concerts, a highly regarded art exhibit and auction hosted by University of Southern Maine, Lewiston-Auburn College, and various community building activities. These programs serve most of Lewiston-Auburn?s 64,000 residents and many of the 106,115 residents of Androscoggin County, as well as visitors from around the state and elsewhere.
