About the Artist

Jeri Theriault is a poet and educator; born in Waterville, ME, she earned her BA at Colby College and her MFA at Vermont College. Her chapbooks include Corn Dance (Nightshade Press, 1994), East of Monhegan ( a dual language book printed in the Cz Republic in 1999) and Catholic (Pudding House Press, 2002). She has published widely (Beloit Poetry Journal, Atlanta Review, The Paterson Literary Review) and whenever possible collaborates with musicians, dancers and artists. She taught for twenty years in Southern Maine and is now teaching at the International School in Prague and participating in the vibrant arts scene in "the most beautiful city in Europe." She maintains a residence in Portland and hopes to read at the 2002 Maine Festival.
