About the Artist
Pamela Chodosh has designed clothing, costumes and sets for movies and the stage. She has created websites and done other forms of digital information design. An experienced writer, she has published personal essays in Maine newspapers, medical journals and "DownEast Magazine." She teaches creative fiction and other forms of writing to adults and works in the schools. Pam's digital photography was exhibited in Norway in June of 2005. At the opening, she read an essay entitled "One Window; Two Sides," which is about losing most of her sight in one eye. The photos were taken in response to this experience. Future exhibits are in the planning stage. She is available for readings. Believing that every person has an innate ability to invent, Pam brings a creative approach to her work with students in design and writing. Patterns and textures are important to her work, as is collage and combining image with writing. She is happy to collaborate with english, art, theater, multi-media, communications, and home economics teachers.
