About the Artist

Cynthia Thompson is a tension fabric sculptor and owner/president of Transformit, which designs, fabricates and installs tension fabric structures in the U.S. and abroad. Her award-winning designs range from permanent ceiling structures in Boston's Top of the Hub Restaurant to a 350" long x 20" high "Wave" for a Disney trade show booth. With her extensive experience as a designer, builder, and businesswoman, Cynthia offers a wealth of practical knowledge. Her workshops explore the design process while focusing on the interaction between form and people.
