Paul B Janeczko

About the Artist

Paul B. Janeczko, award-winning children''s poet and anthologist, works with young poets in grades 3-12. His program for elementary school writers develops some of the poetry basics -- rhythm, sounds, and playfulness -- by writing short, humorous poems. In longer residencies, students will extend their writing experiences to include longer, free verse poems. With older students, Paul explores the relationship between personal experience and narrative and descriptive poems. Paul enjoys working with teachers and other adults with heart who are eager to help their students write poetry that sparkles.
