About the Artist

I am a poet and nonfiction writer and college instructor. My work has been published in several journals and newspapers, and I have won numerous poetry competitions. In addition to teaching Creative Nonfiction at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, I lead poetry workshops for beginning writers of all ages. As a poet I work in both traditional and nontraditional forms. My poetry is primarily lyric, though I am interested in the intersection of lyric, narrative, and imagist work.
