About the Artist

Alex Gnidziejko is a portrait artist who paints in egg tempera - oil emulsion technique working toward a hightened sense of realism. He is challenged by light on the subjects and the colors of sunlight while maintaining realism. his work includes portraits, figurative and still lifes.

As an illustrator from 1966 - 1986 his work was chosen to be in ""Icons-Images - 50 years of Illustration"" The book will be published Dec. 2008 by the Society of Illustrators.

His work can be seen at the Gnidziejko Gallery and upcoming shows in Hartford, Connecticut and New York, NY in 2010.
