About the Artist

Pat Chandler was born and grew up in Maine. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Illustration. After several years of working in the commercial field, she and her family moved to Minnesota, where she resumed an interest in Printmaking at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. At that time Pat again began to devote her time to fine art. Portraits replaced commercial art as the means by which she supported herself and three children. Moving her family back to the Mid-coast region of Maine in the late 1970s, her portrait clientele grew to include people throughout the United States as her work became known among the summer residents. She has now painted three generations in some families. Many families own several of Pat?s works?portraits, paintings and prints. its, paintings and prints.
