About the Artist

I watercolor flowers and pieces of nature and then enhance the painting with pieces of old paper-postcards, stamps, letters, wine labels etc. Each piece is a comment or story about a memory or idea that I am thinking about. The pieces are titled and the titles, taken from poetry, songs, current events, books are as important to the pieces as the collage elements. This current focus on botanical flowers and collage started in 2019 but I have been a working artist for 40 years. The Maine landscape has also been a focus in my work.
