About the Artist

David Wade is a photojournalist, commercial photographer, writer and photographic artist. He is the photographer and co-publisher of the book "The World of the Trapp Family Singers" and is presently at work on a book of B&W photos of Portland's Working Waterfront. Selections from that project appeared in the exhibit "Pier Pressure" at The Clown Gallery in Portland (June 2002) and were featured in articles in the Portland Press Herald and Working Waterfront newspapers. His non-journalistic photos have been included in Portland Museum of Art Bienial (98), New England Artist's Congress(99), and Maine Coast Artists (2000), as well as various galleries in Portland, Boston and Tokyo. He is a contributing photographer/ writer to Shutterbug Magazine and is a co-founder of Tokyo Photo Workshops where he taught camera art.
