About the Artist

Andrea M. Sawyer is a painter working mainly in oil on canvas. A Portland area native, she''s fascinated by color &&&& the power and effects of light. Many of her subjects are old buildings, port scenes, &&&& vanishing landmarks caught before they disappear, such as Len''s Market, the old Amato''s on India street, Amadeus Music in Portland, &&&& the waterfront in Portland &&&& Provincetown, Mass. Represented by Little Sebago Gallery in Windham, &&&& Art 3 Gallery in Manchester, NH. Seeking markets in Portland, Boston and Cape Cod, she plans to eventually paint full time, spending most of the year in the Portland area &&&& the balance in Provincetown, Downeast Maine, &&&& the Maritimes.
