About the Artist

"Schooner Fare is the premier performing group of original and traditional songs" -Lincoln Center for the Arts, New York City.

Since 1975, Steve and Chuck Romanoff, and Tom Rowe have been "Maine's musical ambassadors" (Gov. Angus King) providing educational and entertaining insights into the social and economic experience of growing-up and living in Maine. Steve, a Ph.D. in Educational Humanities and Chuck and Tom have been teaching and educating Maine children and adults through their lively and informative concerts and school-assemblies. Schooner Fare still tours the U.S. and Canada on a regular basis, but always enjoys performing close to home in Maine.

N.B. The music world lost a great talent and friend in January 2004 when Tom Rowe died of complications from chemo-therapy. Chuck and Steve are continuing to perform as Schooner Fare in their many concert performances around Maine and North America....as Tom would have insisted.
