About the Artist

My deepest insights are rooted in personal,ordinary experiences. I work with raw materials like beeswax, charcoal, dirt and rust, organic by-products that imply the irreversible, the inevitable, the continuum. I mimic erosive, regenerative processes like the repetitive etch of sand, rubbing and removing in order to reveal, or the reparative stitch marking the passage of time.

When I pay attention to the quiet evidence that links me with humanity and the natural world, I come face to face with a profound sense of the mystery of the universe. Everything I make is an attempt to reveal a tiny grain of this truth.
