About the Artist

With young people conditioned to perpetual, often worthless, stimulation on television, it is important for students to experience video as an art form and a tool for personal expression. In hands-on, flexibly scheduled sessions, students learn the tools - scripting, camera, lighting, props - and the manipulation of these tools to present a convincing experience to the viewer. They observe and practice collaboration and experience the inter-relatedness and value of the many skills required to create a video piece.
