About the Artist

I am a ceramic sculptor from Caribou, Maine with my own home studio and practice.

My intuitive process reveals the rippling patterns, cavities, and grooves that make up nature’s organic language of form. These ambiguous objects evoke a duality of alien and familiar in an active mediation between the known and the unknown. The coexistence of beauty and ugliness, familiarity and alien-ness, material and spirit world, means to suggest: what is ugly can also be beautiful, what is seemingly unfamiliar can be relatable, and what appears inanimate can be very much alive.
