About the Artist

Kathleen P. Brown is a custom clothing designer of Brown Clothieres, located on Main Street in Camden, upstairs next to Stone Soup Books. Her 23 years of experience as a theatrical Costume Designer have given her the flexibility and skills to be able to create almost anything out of cloth. Kathleen's specialty is working with bias-cut silk, creating soft lines that drape the female form exquisitely. She also collaborates with local silk painters to create one-of-a-kind wearable art. Kathleen still designs costumes as well, often for professional theaters locally, as well as farther afield. She is busy, but it is worth stopping by her studio to take a peek at her latest project!
