About the Artist

Gestural and abstract, my work is subconsciously but strongly informed by my years as a plein air landscape painter. I continue to be drawn to the same organic shapes and marks, rich textures, and earthy palette.

I have BA in Studio Art from Smith College with a concentration in drawing and printmaking and continued study at the Boston Etching Studio and at the Kaji Aso Studio/Gallery, Boston, as well as typography and book arts at Northeastern University. From 2009 to 2013 I was a student of the late master painter, Jon Imber, of Boston and Stonington, Maine.

A native of central Massachusetts, I've lived in Maine since 1985.and maintain a full-time painting studio in downtown Bangor.
