About the Artist

Thea Hart is an interdisciplinary artist, graphic designer, and rural organizer working in the Western Foothills of Maine. Thea was raised in the Pequawket Valley and returned to Maine after receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art & Design at Alfred University in 2019. Their current series of works in oil and colored pencil investigate the figuration of trees and landscape and explore formal qualities of light and surface with an intuitive approach.

Thea's work has been featured in a number of two-person, solo, and group shows in New York State and Maine, and they collaborate in performances with fellow local artist Reed Stone McLean.
